Abstract
- The article focuses on the flash floods happened in Uttarakhand, India on June 16, 2013. It presents the experience of several residents regarding the disaster including 43-year-old resident Sankar Gosai, 36-year-old resident Rakesh Singh, and Sushil Singh of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. It mentions that 2,052 houses were wiped out, 147 bridges had collapsed, and 1,307 roads were destroyed by the floods.
