A scalable hybrid separator for a high performance lithium–sulfur battery.

A newly designed hybrid separator composed of a glassy fiber paper and a microporous membrane is effectively integrated into a Li–S battery. Superior cell performance up to 500 cycles is achieved even with commercially available pristine sulfur as cathode material.
