Abstract: The article focuses on the classic occurrence of danburite crystals near the Russell village in Lawrence County, New York. Information about the different danburite species found in the area, including allanite- (Ce), chalcocite (Cu<subscript>2</subscript>S), and pyrite (FeS<subscript>2</subscript>), are provided. Significance of the danburite collection is also discussed.
