Abstract

The article discusses a study which examined the diffusion of liposomal amphotericin B (L-AMB) and posaconazole (PSC) in the skeletal muscles of critically ill burn patients who received continuous venovenous hemodialysis. Topics discussed include subcutaneous mucormycosis caused by Mucor circinelloides, good tissue diffusion of L-AMB, and the poor bioavailability of PSC.
