Abstract
- The article presents study on generation of low frequency microseisms by infragravity waves on the southeastern coast of Sakhalin Island in Russia. It mentions the investigation of the release of stresses in the Earth's crust under the influence of microseisms to calculate influence of periodical oscillations on the tectonically active seismic zones. It adds microseisms caused by breaking of wind waves in the coastal zone have the maximum energy.
