Abstract
- The article presents a study which investigates the presence of chlamydiales in bovine abortions in England and Wales. Topics discussed include chlamydia abortus, recognised as a known cause of ruminant abortion as well as chlamydia-related organisms (CROs), extraction of DNA from placental cotyledons and investigated through real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and diagnosis of the cause of abortion in cattle.
