Abstract

The article discusses arguments in favor of universities playing a greater role in the delivery of emergency medicine specialty education and training. Topics discussed include what universities offer such as consistency as they can smooth out the discrepancies in knowledge training received by trainees at various hospitals and a transparent and accountable system informed by expert pedagogy and how colleges have made universities partners in upskilling their trainees.
