The article discusses responses by several authors to Dr. Karen Hitchcock's critique of the Australian health system in which she alleges that the elderly have been discriminated against in terms of government expenditures and quality health care. It is reported that while the authors did not agree with all of Hitchcock's allegations, they supported her advocacy to improve health care services for the elderly.
