Abstract

This paper combines two multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) tools to identify the critical success factors (CSFs) that impact the performance of personnel training course projects in the semiconductor industry in Taiwan. The study collected the factors that influence performance by interviewing experts and constructed a hierarchical factor table. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the weight of each factor, and the acceptance advantage concept of VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje was used to objectively identify the CSFs. The study found four CSFs that affect project performance and proposed five practical implications. This paper verified that combining two MCDM tools can help training institutions to allocate their resources appropriately by focusing on the CSFs, identified by their weights, and thus, promote their training courses at lower cost and with greater efficiency.
