Abstract

The article reports on a study which evaluated the potential threat of influenza virus subtype H6 viruses to human health. The researchers conducted a systematic serologic study in Chinese populations occupationally exposed to H6 viruses. They found that 63 out of 15,689 serum samples tested positive for the H6 virus, despite the lack of reports of human infection with influenza H6 virus.
