Abstract

The article discusses evidence-based recommendations for the diagnosis of patients with early breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer which have been released by the Breast Committee of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gynäkologische Onkologie (German Gynecological Oncology Group, AGO)on an annual basis since 2001. Updates on the guidelines which the committee released in 2012 are discussed.
