Abstract

The concept of object relations is not just structural, implying the bare bones of situations; it leaves room for variable qualities and changes of affects and feelings. The special advantage of 'object-relations' over archetypal image or affect-object is that number configurations can easily be attached to indicate the level of personal experience. The oscillations in object-relationships, the fluctuations of psychic states, should be taken into consideration when developments or transformations are reported on in terms of long duration and the collective layer of cultural and social influences should not be ignored.
