Abstract
- An interview with several replacement referees in the National Football League (NFL) is presented. Bruce Hermansen, a retired technology executive and retired National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and II official relates how they were put through about four hours of agility exercises. Wayne Elliott, a realtor and NCAA Division III official shares that NFL cuts the weakest officials. Dwayne Strozier, a side judge, plans to be evaluated and be a permanent part of the league.
