Abstract
- The article offers information on the potable reuse of wastewater in the U.S. Topics discussed include the implementation of the Clean Water Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), the direct potable reuse (DPR) and the indirect potable reuse (IPR), and water treatment technologies including membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, and biological activated carbon. Also mentioned are the regulation and costs of potable reuse drinking water systems.
