Abstract

The authors discusses a study which explored the link between discrepancies and retractions in clinical trial reports. They explain that the researchers make the conclusion that discrepancies or errors could be an indication of unreliability in clinical trials. They further assert that the researchers perform a case-control study and make generalizations based on sensitivity and specificity. The authors argue that while the link may be real, its practical application is unlikely.
