Abstract

The article presents a clinical practice guideline for the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis among adults in Canada. The guideline was endorsed by Osteoporosis Canada and was developed through the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) approach. Also cited are the serious consequences of osteoporosis like hip fracture, the dietary interventions like calcium and vitamin D, and the pharmacologic therapies for adults at high risk of fracture.
