Sandwich Complexes The center of the stained glass represents the top view of the cyclobutadiene rhodium benzene complex [(C4H4)Rh(C6H6)]+. This sandwich compound not only shows the geometric beauty (circle inscribed in a square inscribed in a hexagon!) but also provides an entry to the world of the cyclobutadiene rhodium complexes through replacement of benzene by various ligands.
