Abstract

We study the second-order difference equation [This equation can not be represented in ASCII.TXT] where f &ephiv; C[SUP1] ([0,∞), [0,∞)) and x[SUBn] &ephiv; Z. For the cases p ≤ 5, we find necessary and sufficient conditions on f for all solutions to be periodic with period p. We answer some questions and conjectures of Kulenović and Ladas.
