SECOND BIOGEOGRAPHY SYMPOSIUM ORGANIZED BY IAPT MEMBERS FROM THE BOGOTÁ BOTANICAL GARDEN, COLOMBIA.

The article discusses the highlights of the Second Biogeography Symposium organized by the International Association for Plant Taxonomy (IAPT) members from the Bogotá Botanical garden in Colombia. Topics covered during the symposium include a review of the history of biogeographic paradigms in Colombia, the use of bioinformatics in analyzing distribution patterns in neotropical plants and cladistic biogeography.
