Abstract
- The article focuses on the study of James and colleagues on the relationship between diabetes and acute kidney injury (AKI). The study compared individual data from an estimated 80,000 people with established chronic kidney disease (CKD) and over 1.2 million people recruited from the general population. The results of the study show that the risk of AKI tend to be greater for people with diabetes compare to those who do not have the condition.
