Cyberinfrastructure, GIS, and spatial optimization: opportunities and challenges.

The article focuses on the opportunities to be used to overcome the difficulties of spatial optimization. It sates that various techniques are used to measure problems related to location, infrastructure design and transportation. With the advent of new optimization techniques, the spatial analysis and geographical research have helped collecting, managing and visualizing the required data. Geographic Information System (GIS) and Cyberinfrastructure computing have helped solving such issues.
