Abstract

Through the death in December 1969 of Lord Simey, Charles Booth Professor of Social Science in the University of Liverpool, the Board of Management of the Sociological Review has lost one of its most valued and distinguished members. The members of the Board wish to record their deepest regret at his death and their appreciation of his services as a colleague over so long a period.
