Abstract: The article offers information on the 18th statement of Collegium Ramazzini, international academy, related to global health dimensions of asbestos and asbestos-related diseases (ARD). Topics discussed include ARD presenting challenges in occupational medicine and public health, initiative from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2006 to eliminate ARD, and deaths from asbestos-related lung cancer (ARLC).
