Abstract

A novel solvent-thermal Y<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript> template method was explored to synthesise NaYF<subscript>4</subscript>:Yb<superscript>3+</superscript>,Tm<superscript>3+</superscript> inverse opal photonic crystals (IOPCs), which show highly improved up-conversion luminescence properties.
