Abstract
- The article discusses comments from George Fowkes of BasePower firm, regarding the improvement in the combined heat and power (CHP) units technology that is required by manufacturers that chill food. He mentions the improvement in performance of reciprocating CHP engines and associated boilers along with the efficiency and reliability of absorption chillers. He adds companies operating CHP schemes include APS Salads, Arla and Mondelz's Banbury coffee plant.
