Abstract

The article presents a study from the U.S. Government Accountability Office concerning the acquisitions performed by the Homeland Security in fiscal year 2015. The study addresses the extent to which the key acquisition programs are meeting their schedule and cost goals and the extent to which DHS had addressed their affordability issues. Recommendations made by GAO include quantification of information when assessing funding gaps and conduct of assessments in a timely manner.
