Abstract
- The article discusses research which patch tested didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) in patients with suspected contact sensitization to surface or instrument disinfectants after observing a case of a geriatric nurse with airborne occupational allergic contact dermatitis caused by DDAC. Topics covered include the clinical relevance of patch testing, test concentrations which shows strong and weak positive reactions, and ideal concentrations for suspected allergic contact dermatitis.
