Abstract
- The article focuses on Zika virus infection animal model. Topics include the Zika virus discovery in 1947 in Zika forest, Uganda and the experiment demonstration of the mosquito-borne transmission of Zika virus to mice and monkeys, and significance of the Lazear and colleagues demonstration of the A129 model which recapitulates the disease caused by the Asian strains FSS1325 and H/PF/2013.
