Abstract
- The article offers information on the gender imbalance which is present in engineering education. The authors examine why teenage girls having an interest in and aptitude for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) opt out of engineering education. Information is also offered on outreach programs that have employed messages to engage teenage girls in engineering.
