Abstract: The article describes the case of an mcr-1-positive colistin-resistant Escherichia coli in a traveler returning to Canada from China. It says that a 61-year old man underwent transurethral prostate resection in Vancouver, British Columbia, in January 2016. It adds that on postoperative day, he was febrile and had leukocytosis.
