Abstract

The paper attempts to understand the dynamics and role of social movements in the context of bringing out largescale social-organizational level change. This paper is based on the set of events that had unfolded in and around Delhi (3-4 years back) and were related to fight against corrupt practices prevalent in Delhi, which in general. The paper is based on the works of Marshall Ganz (Leading Change: Leadership, Organization and Social Movements) on social change and keeps the rise and fall of Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and other significant others as a template and a preliminary milestone to understand the famous 'Delhi Experiment' as an embodiment of Social Change in the Indian Socio- Political-Cultural Context. The paper further emphasizes the political leanings of the upcoming middle classes and their role and influence to bring about change. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
