An editorial on the role of philosophy in project management is presented. Topics discussed include need to have the knowledge of philosophy for project management professionals and academics, changing nature of the world of projects, multiplicity of new philosophical perspectives in project management and need for professionals to define their professional philosophy and improve their profession and practice.
