Does it Take a Village: Family and Inter-Corporate Ownership and Inter-Corporate Networks.

This paper examines whether the performance implications of family firms depends upon the extent to which the national economy is dominated by family business groups. Using a sample of over 11,000 firms in 35 countries we find lower performance among family firms in group-dominated economies.
