AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR PUBLIC OPINION RESEARCH.

The 1960 American Association for Public Opinion Research Conference was held jointly with the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) in May 1960 at the Hotel Traymore in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In addition to eleven formal sessions and six round tables, there were two evening sessions, one of the them was a panel session on ways of covering the 1960 U.S. election. Professor Samuel A. Stouffer was chairman of the panel on elections. Two of the formal sessions were organized by WAPOR. Abstracts were presented of various research papers given at the formal sessions prepared by their individual authors, their summaries of the round-table discussions were prepared by session chairmen or individuals appointed by the chairmen. The evening session on the U.S. election was also summarized. There was also the presentation of the Julian L. Woodward Award to Clyde N. Hart at the banquet.
