Abstract
- The article focuses on phrase prenes en gre with surprised by medieval manuscripts found in literary and other non-legal texts, appears with a slightly different spelling in a plea roll of the King's Bench. It mentions that medieval chronological sequence of the King's Bench rolls and introductory paragraph states the site of the court, the term and year of the court sitting. It also mentions that French poetry, the latter transported by scribes such as Ricardus Franciscus.
