Abstract
- The article focuses on the reported erroneous value about the brain of the blue whale, Balaenoptera musculus. Topics include difficulties associated with extracting and measuring large brains, an increase in behavioral complexity with an increase in brain size including sharks and primates, and citations of brain size is in different studies on cetacean anatomy, evolution, ecology, taxonomy, and social organization.
