Abstract: The article focuses on the study which aims for the evaluation of the quality and safety of the daily consumption of mushrooms by consumers. Topics discussed include the identification of Escherichia (E) coli in analyzed sample, the food borne diseases in Italy, and the involvement of E. coli in drug resistance.
