Abstract

The article presents a history of Royal Air Force (RAF) stations after whom Battle of Britain class Pacifics locomotives were named, and overview of their selected locomotives through to their withdrawal by British Railways including RAF Croydon and Battle of Britain Light Pacific No 34057.
