Abstract

The article discusses the influence of double-bag storage with air bubbles or foam and single-bag storage without air bubbles or foam on the quality of double-dose apheresis platelets. Topics include detecting expression of the conformational epitope on the glycoprotein (GPIIb), use of fluorescein isothiocyanate to activated PLTs, and measuring lactate concentrations, swirling, and hypotonic shock response for testing.
