Abstract

The article focuses on the use of steroid injections for patients with low back pain and problems of patients with chronic low back pain have magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that shows areas of local inflammation around their vertebral discs. It mentions injection of corticosteroids into the area of active discopathy reduces low back pain. It also mentions corticosteroid injection provided short-term relief of chronic low back pain associated with active discopathy.
