Abstract
- The article offers information related to neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). It discusses how NTDs affect over one billion people, and cause 170,000 deaths each year, as of April 2017. It reports that NTDs primarily occur in rural and poor urban areas of low-income and middle-income countries. It mentions the elimination of visceral leishmaniasis.
