Abstract
- The author argues that the word tolerance should not be used in promoting diversity in library and information science (LIS) sector. Topics discussed include the definition of tolerance by the Mirriam-Webster's Dictionary, the talk delivered by the author on cultural competence at the 2017 Association of College and Research Libraries, and the call for fellow librarians to celebrate diverse populations.
