Abstract

The authors comment on the revised advise issued by pharmaceutical company AbbVie regarding the duration of the effects of isoflurane on cognition and psychomotor functions of patients, particularly in driving. They analyze previous reports that might have influenced the modifications in the product specification of AbbVie for its isoflurane. The authors also reveal research proving that psychomotor functions return 24 hours after inhalation.
