Abstract

The article focuses on ten rules for surviving and thriving in an interdisciplinary doctor of philosophy (PhD) setting, highlighting the importance of having a comprehensive plan and intellectual freedom, among others. Topics discussed include organizing regular meetings with supervisors and collaborators for collective planning, fostering relationships with researchers from diverse backgrounds, and building required competencies and skills to pursue one's career.
