Abstract
- The article discusses the status of Cuba's trade dependency as of May 2017. Topics discussed include the impact of the increasing political and social unrest in Venezuela which is the main trade partner and source of oil and fuel of Cuba to the island's gross domestic product (GDP), Cuba's economic conditions, and the status of bilateral trade between Cuba and Venezuela. Several charts related to trade dependency of Cuba are also presented.
