Abstract

In this paper I try to explain common nouns in -ίδης, considering their diachronic development in Greek literature. Particular attention is devoted to ζοφοδορΠίδαις (Alcaeus 429 V. = L.-P.), which was given many non-convincing or inexhaustive explanations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
