Abstract
- The article focuses on development in the field of devices which use satellite navigation systems. Topics discussed include dependence of sectors of U.S. critical infrastructure on Global Positioning System (GPS) recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, potential of low Earth orbit (LEO) system to provide much stronger signals than the distant GPS core-constellations, and operation of the U.S. Navy Navigation Satellite System in 1964.
