INTRODUCTION TO THE FIVE YEAR INDEX VOLUMES 11--15.

The article presents the editor-in-chief's introduction to an index of the "Strategic Management Journal" (SMJ), for a five-year index between 1990 to 1994. He says that since its inception, SMJ has grown beyond his expectations and that he is fortunate enough to be able to publish a five year index with as much work as the ten year index published in 1990. The index is set up in three parts. The first contains an alphabetical listing of the authors, the title of their paper, the issue in which it appeared, and a summary of the paper. The second part lists all of the authors who have contributed to the volumes being indexed, while the third section contains a subject index.
