Abstract
- The article discusses how various sociologists and economists agree that where people live impacts their economic conditions, and it mentions research which indicates that children whose families moved out of the worst housing projects in Chicago, Illinois earned more money than the children from families that did not move. Neighborhood inequality and poverty in America are examined, along with the Moving to Opportunity for Fair Housing program and sociologist William Julius Wilson.
