Abstract
- The article reflects upon Indigenous curatorial practice since 1986. Topics discussed include the work of the curator Jimmie Durham, founding director of the International Indian Treaty Council, who often worked in conjunction with the curator Jean Fisher, the politics of exhibition design and the boycott of the 1988 exhibition "The Spirit Sings," which was held in conjunction with the Olympic Games in Calgary, Alberta.
